Jon Gilbert

Writer & Director

Jon has been writing and directing short films since 1994, and with Wild Honey since 2000. Over the past 8 years, he has worked as a reader for companies like Universal, the Film Council and The Works International, as well as being a freelance script editor. After coming 3rd in the 2005 Final Draft Big Break screenwriting competition with The Sculptress And The Thief, Jon was signed to Independent (formerly ICM). As well as developing The Sculptress... with director Joel Schumacher, Jon has since written or co-written a number of original feature film screenplays, including projects with directors John Williams (Hibernation) and Vincent Bal (Undercover Kitty). Jon is represented by Independent in the UK and Elevate Entertainment and the Gersh Agency in the US.


Christopher Ross

Director of Photography

After leaving Nottingham University in 1997, Christopher worked as a camera technician for Panavision, on such films as Cold Mountain, Proof Of Life and Syriana before becoming a freelance cinematographer in 2006. In the past two years, he has shot five feature films, including London To Brighton, Eden Lake and the forthcoming Malice In Wonderland, as well as numerous promos and commercials for (among others) Ridley Scott Associates. In 2008, he won the Kodak award for Best Cinematography for a Short Film (Soft, dir: Simon Ellis). Chris is represented by Independent Management.


Nick Jew

Composer

Having met Jon and Christopher at Nottingham University, where he played guitar in successful local band The Bee Hatchers, Nick went on to start AlphaState with Jon, releasing their album Between Dreaming And Waking in 2003. At the same time, he contributed the soundtrack to all of Wild Honey releases as well as various short film and corporate projects, including the award-winning In Absentia (dir: James Kibbey/Richard Heald). He continues to compose his own music and produce local bands in Nottingham, including The Bee Hatchers, whose Songs That Got Away mini-album was released in Summer 2008.
